Updates are optional and automatic! You’ll get prompted inside the app to restart your software. There’s also a button to download anytime. If you’re not ready, you can hide and update later.
If you like the software as-is, you can skip every update for the entire future. We can’t and won’t ever force an update.
Customers should have a choice. Software can be built to accommodate a variety of needs. We believe in privacy and don’t intend to ever host your financial data on our servers.
We do have a beta option available where we can deploy SPRK onto a dedicated private server. If this is of interest, please let me know.
Fine Print: This is limited to a single desktop or a shared server. It can’t be shared with multiple servers. All data is stored on your local computer, so we don’t guarantee any specific performance, and we don’t guarantee any specific upgrades.
You can import all your bank and credit card transactions through a CSV or QBO file. We plan to add a live feed (via Plaid) at a later date, which will incur a monthly cost.
